Our Standards
Editorial Policy
How we research, write, source, update and correct the content we publish.
Our goal
We want every page on Your Supplement Digest to genuinely help a reader who is trying to understand a health topic, an ingredient or a product. If a page wouldn’t help someone, we shouldn’t publish it.
Accuracy and sourcing
- We rely on reputable sources, including US government health agencies (such as the CDC, NIH and FDA), major academic medical centers, professional associations and peer-reviewed research.
- We link to our sources so readers can verify important claims themselves.
- Important factual claims, such as numbers, recommendations and safety information, should be checked against a reliable source before publishing.
- We never invent studies, statistics, experts, credentials, quotes or citations.
Separating evidence from marketing
Supplement marketing often blurs the line between research and sales claims. We try to clearly label the difference between:
- Established evidence: findings supported by consistent, good-quality research
- Emerging evidence: early, limited or mixed research
- Traditional use: historical or cultural use that hasn’t been confirmed by modern research
- Manufacturer claims: what a company says about its own product
We don’t state or imply that a supplement can diagnose, treat, cure or prevent a disease.
Originality
Our content is written for Your Supplement Digest. We don’t copy other publishers’ text, reviews or images. We don’t publish near-duplicate pages designed only to target slightly different search terms.
Reviews and testimonials
We don’t publish fake reviews, fabricated testimonials, invented ratings or made-up before-and-after results. If we ever share customer feedback, we’ll explain where it came from. See How We Review Products for our product research process.
Who creates our content
Content is researched and written by the Your Supplement Digest editorial team. Our content is not currently reviewed by doctors or other licensed health professionals. If qualified professionals review content in the future, we’ll identify them by name, with their real credentials, on the pages they reviewed.
Advertising and affiliate relationships
We earn money through affiliate programs such as ClickBank and BuyGoods. Affiliate relationships don’t determine what we say about the evidence, and we don’t accept payment to publish positive coverage. Pages that contain affiliate links include a disclosure. Read our full Affiliate Disclosure.
Updates
Health guidance and product details change. Each article shows the date it was last updated, and we aim to review important content when guidance, research or product information changes.
Corrections
If you find an error, please tell us. Email contact@yoursupplementdigest.com with the page URL and what you believe is incorrect, ideally with a source. We’ll review it, and if we confirm an error, we’ll correct the page and update its date. Significant corrections will be noted on the page.
